    Here is a
    excellent working used vintage Brown & Sharpe 600 vernier depth gauge set.
    It comes with it's original case, the caliper and 2 blades.  The blades are 6" and 12" long overall.  The 6" blade gives you a measuring range from 0.00" thru 3.500" deep (88mm).  The 12" blade gives you a measuring range from 0.000" thru 9.500" (238mm).  Blades are graduated in English only.  Resolution for caliper is 0.001".  The 6" blade is currently installed in the caliper.  This caliper works excellent and there is a name lightly engraved on the back.  There are a few age/stain spots on the 12" blade.  See the last 3 photos.  All graduations are easily readable.  The blades are 1/4" (7mm wide) and the bottom surface of the base is 2-5/8" x 3/10" from the catalog description. The case is in good shape and the slide-locking tabs work as they should.
    Note:  When you change blades be careful to not lose the little locking bar that presses against the blade from under the screw.
    Nice caliper for you vernier fans or Brown & Sharpe collectors.
    Just a reference note:  If this was purchased from Starrett new today, the 448Z-612 equivalent runs 4!
