    THIS IS A VERY NICE, CLEAN, EXCELLENT CONDITION TOOL.
    THIS SHOWS GREAT. THE SMALL SPOTS THAT ARE A LITTLE BROWN WIPE RIGHT OFF WITH THINNER OR CLEANER
    I'M NOT GOING TO CLEAN IT ANY FURTHER, I DON'T WANT IT TO START RUSTING.
    I WAS TOLD THIS WAS USED ONE TIME, AND I DOUBT THAT TO EVEN BE THE CASE, IT IS SO NICE!

    The Starrett 456 Gear Tooth Vernier Caliper is designed to measure in .001” or 0.02mm the thickness of gear teeth at the pitch line (the chordal thickness of the teeth) using the distance from the top of a tooth to the chord. For the same purpose, it can also be used for measuring hobs, form and thread tools, etc. 20-2 Diametral Pitch in Case.
